One of the best sunset experience i have ever had is here in Huacachina.
I don’t have much expectation when i first come to Peru. I only want to visit Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain. That’s it.
I read some reviews saying that it is worthwhile to stay few days in Cuzco to go to several nice places around there. And that there are a lot of local tours departing daily from Cuzco so it is easier and cheaper to book from Cuzco, and i do not need to book in advance. And that’s what i did. I thought i would just stay in Cuzco for few days and figured out about the trip once i was there.
I did not do many research as i just finished my bar exam and i spent my last two months only studying! So i came to Peru knowing nothing about where to go and what to do.
Once i landed, friends started giving me recommendation to go here and there. And i just knew that there are a lot Peru can offer other than Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain. Unfortunately, some of them are far from Cuzco.
Since i only had few days left in Peru i had to pick whether to visit Huacachina and Nazca lines OR Lake Titicaca and (probably) Arequipa.
I picked the first one and loved it so so much. Both are fascinating and one of a kind.
BUT, i wish i have planned and prepared this trip better so that i can visit Lake Titicaca and Arequipa too.
